The White House

A trip to Washington DC would not be complete without the experience of seeing the White House. Most people would say the trip would not be complete without a glimpse of the country’s most well-known residence. But there are even greater ways to view the White House that your whole tour group is sure to love. The White House was built to impress, and it does so with its beautiful architecture and elegant décor.

The White House offers tours to parts of the building. With advanced planning, your group can have this tour as part of your itinerary. Of course, tours cannot be guaranteed. Issues with security can happen at anytime, so a White House tour can be canceled without much notice.

There are several rooms included in the White House tour; the Red Room is famous for its vibrant color, and the Green Room offers elegant paintings and furniture.

The Blue Room has an oval shape, like the one made famous in the President’s office. It’s also bordered by a beautiful blue drapery. You’ll recognize the spacious East Room as the one often used for press conferences, White House announcements, and bill signings.

Other rooms on the tour include the Great Entrance, Cross Hall, State Dining Room, and ground floor library. This famous home has beautiful marble floors and walls and displays the presidential portraits. Who wouldn’t like to say that they have actually been inside the White House? This tour is very highly recommended for any group tour.

Our guides can even  give you some more information about the rooms that the White House guides may not mention.

If you can’t get a Tour of the White House, you could also consider the White House Visitors Center just around the corner. A great addition to educational tours, the visitors center offers literature, exhibits, and a video on the beautiful home and its many famous families. This is also a great addition to your tour. Plus, a wonderful view of the actual White House is just a short walk away, perfect for a photo opportunity.
